Al-Mukalla Edges Ittihad Ibb with Stoppage-Time Goal to Retain Lead
Al-Mukalla maintained its position at the top of the Yemeni General Football League (2025-2026 season) after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ittihad Ibb today, Thursday, at the Al-Faqeed Baradem Stadium in Al-Mukalla, during the fourth round of the tournament.
Al-Mukalla enjoyed a relative advantage in possession during the first half, launching consecutive attacks to break the deadlock. However, Ittihad Ibb’s resilient defense kept the hosts at bay, sending both teams into the break scoreless.
The second half saw a balanced tactical battle with improved organization from Al-Mukalla, while Ittihad Ibb looked to match the hosts and exploit counter-attacks.
