Shaab Hadramout strengthened their grip on the top of the Yemen League standings after another successful round, while Al Sadd produced the biggest win of the week by scoring five goals in an entertaining conclusion to Round Seven.
A total of 20 goals were scored across seven matches, averaging more than two goals per game, as the league's leading clubs continued their strong form with important victories.
League leaders Shaab Hadramout edged Fahman 1-0 at Baradem Stadium thanks to a first-half strike from league top scorer Haidar Aslam. His 26th-minute winner secured Shaab's sixth victory of the season and extended his lead in the Golden Boot standings with six goals.
Second-placed Tadamon Hadramout kept the pressure on the leaders with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wahdat Sana'a. Mamdouh Bin Ajaj opened the scoring after just 12 minutes before Omar Jolan sealed the result in the 68th minute, taking his personal tally to five league goals.
At Al Thawra Stadium, Al Ahli Sana'a claimed a valuable 1-0 victory against Al Mukalla. Zakaria Taftouf scored the decisive goal early in the second half, while goalkeeper heroics proved equally important after Al Mukalla's Hassan Basfar saw his penalty brilliantly saved in the 83rd minute.
Salam Al Ghurfah returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 success over Ittihad Ibb, inspired by a brace from Hani Barak, who scored just before half-time and added another in the second half.
One of the most entertaining contests came between Shabab Al Bayda and Al Orouba, where Al Orouba recovered from a slow start to record an impressive 3-1 victory and remain firmly in the title race.
Meanwhile, Al Yarmouk earned an excellent 2-1 away win against Ittihad Hadramout. Forward Shihab Atta struck twice within three minutes to put his side in control before Abdullah Jawas reduced the deficit, but the visitors held on for all three points.
The final match of the round produced the highest scoreline as Al Sadd defeated Al Hilal Al Saheli 5-2 in Marib. The attacking display underlined Al Sadd's credentials as one of the league's strongest offensive teams, taking their season tally to 18 goals, the highest in the competition.
After seven rounds, Shaab Hadramout remain top with 19 points, followed by Tadamon Hadramout on 16, while Al Sadd and Al Orouba share third place with 15 points each.
The race for the Golden Boot also remains highly competitive. Haidar Aslam leads with six goals, followed by Omar Jolan with five, while Zakaria Taftouf sits third on four, setting up an exciting battle as the season approaches its midway stage.
